  Genes and You

J4G aims to help people that have problems with their health because of a faulty or missing gene.

Genetic disorders can affect 1 in 33 children and many cannot be prevented but are due to the ‘genetic lottery’ of life.

  Living With A Genetic Condition

Did you know that there are over 5,000 genetic conditions?

And that one child in every 33 is born with a genetic disorder?

   Welcome

Jeans for Genes (J4G) is an appeal that raises funds to help children with genetic conditions.

On average one baby in every 33 is born with a genetic disorder or birth defect,..... that’s one born every 30 minutes whose life could be affected like the two little boys in the picture above. There are over 4,000 different genetic disorders affecting tens of thousands of children and, at the moment, many of these conditions have no curative treatment.

In the last ten years, Jeans for Genes has funded research work that will benefit the health and quality of life of children and their families worldwide who are affected by genetic disorders.

And now you folks in the land where Jeans came from can make a difference too! Please click on the Stars and Stripes to see why and how!
