Genes and You

J4G aims to help people that have problems with their health because of a faulty or missing gene.
Genetic disorders can affect 1 in 33 children and many cannot be prevented but are due to the ‘genetic lottery’ of life.

What is ‘Jeans for Genes’?
‘Jeans for Genes’ (J4G) is an appeal dedicated to raising funds that will help children suffering from genetic disorders.
This is how it works in the UK
On one day each year (7th October this year) everyone is asked to throw out the usual workplace and school dress code, jump into their jeans and donate a sum to help this cause. They also come up with zany ideas to raise extra funds, such as competitions and quizzes. (For more information, look at the UK J4G website on www.jeansforgenes.com)
Many of our supporters now also hold their own fund-raising events throughout the year.
Who does Jeans for Genes help?
J4G raises funds for research into serious and often life-threatening disorders

We would like to give you a chance to help too! We want to fund more research worldwide, including projects in the USA, but to do this we need more funds. For more details on why and how, just click here.
We would especially welcome your suggestions on how we can make J4G as big a hit in the US as it has been in the UK. Please give us your comments - via the contact form here.
